The Podehl's are heading out again. While we always considered Western Europe for the days our knees were failing us, we decided our "wooden" fifth anniversary to go for Paris.
Certainly, one reason was a bit of certainty after a transitional year. We decided Paris would be easily doable. Coincidentally, it's a place Chris has been to that Meredith hasn't. However, it was 2001 and both the world and Chris (thankfully) have changed in the last 16 years.
So we pack our bags now in eager expectation of our first First World trip. It'll have its benefits (like a Metro!) and it's costs (hello Euro!) We will be experiencing our first "Rick Steves" vacation. Thus far, he has some things pretty scripted that will make the planning easier.
So, we jet off! Paris, here we come!
