Airports

Our adventure has begun. The most exciting part was meeting a guy from San Antonio who is going to move to GR for his masters at GVSU. We sold his mom on the city by describing ArtPrize and the lower cost of living. His mom was comforted by meeting us. God is in the details.

Currently we are sprawled out on the floor of the Atlanta airport. Chris is sleeping. I am the master transportation sleeper & slept on the flight here.

We are practicing for tonight in the Lima airport.

Our packs weighed in at 25lbs each which is slightly higher than we wanted. Just means we'll have to eat all the power bars & dried fruit early in the trip. There is one over priced concession stand outside of Machu Picchu and snacks were recommended. I'm not sure I can keep Chris satiated for 10 hours on snacks-but I'm going to try.

Our biggest concern at this point is altitude sickness. I fully admit to being the #hypertourist and not giving us time to aclamate before starting our tours. Prayers appreciated for our adjustment to altitude as our first 2 weeks will be at 3500+ meters.

And with this post, we're off on our trip of a lifetime. Thanks for journeying with us!
